flower horn cichlid
A hybrid between some Central (Amphilophus spp.) and possibly South American cichlids, first created in 2003, quickly become a popular fish especially in Asian countries. Feral poulations are dangerous for native fishes, while in aquarium trade thoughtless breeders spread crossess between these fish and representatives of valid (natural) species, the situation which poses threat to these species' survival in the hobby.
