Amacuzac River
Amacuzac River as it passes by the town of Temixco, a couple of kilometers down the river from Puerto de Ixtla, type locality of exCichlasoma istlanum. Back in the 1980's, when the picture was taken, no exotic fish species were seen, and many exCichlasoma istlanum could be easily observed. Nowadays, all that remains are a high number of exotic species. (18.547629°N, 99.26925°W). Photo by Juan Miguel Artigas Azas.
