Conservation: Vieja fenestrata is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2018). Given the very large range of Vieja fenestrata and the relative stability of many of the locales where it dwells, there is currently little concern about the future of this species.
