Conservation: Cribroheros robertsoni is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2018). Given the very large range of the species and the relative stability of many of the locales where it dwells, plus the fact that this species is not regularly used as food fish, there is currently little concern about the future of this species.
