Conservation: Poeciliopsis turneri is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (DD) data deficient (2018). P. turneri is reported as abundant at some localities. Major pervasive threats are unknown, but there is no evidence of major population decline (Snoeks et al., 2019).
